You may not know this but advertised specifications for every contract for public work of $250,000.00 or more must contain a provision requiring that every worker employed in the performance of a public work contract shall be certified as having completed an OSHA 10 training course. This means that without OSHA 10 training, it’s not likely you are getting a job in construction in NY.
Since 2007 NY state law has required safety training and specifically the OSHA 10 training for most workers in construction in order to reduce the number of accidents on the job. If you are interested in getting a job in the construction industry, getting your OSHA 10 card is a good place to start.
Experts generally agree that over 1.6 million new jobs in construction will be created in the coming years. You only need one!
