2012 is a renewal year for many worker’s training certificates. This is
especially the case with Suspended Scaffold Training Certificates. As of April
2012 all training certificates cannot be older than 4 years from the date the
course was administered. This includes Suspended Scaffold Challenge Exams.
Currently these are the NYC DOB renewal regulations:
16hr Suspended Scaffold Training – Full 16hr Class Must be taken every 4
years.
32hr Rigging Foreman Training – An 8hr Refresher must be taken every 4
years.
4hr Pipe Scaffold User – A 4hr Pipe Scaffold User Course must be taken
every 4 years.
32hr Pipe Scaffold Erector – A 8hr Refresher must be taken every 4
years.
Obviously most people perfer to take these classes on the weekends. Due to
the limited number of weekends and the volume of students we encourage everyone
to evaluate their training needs now. Winter time is a good time to get training
during the week while the weather is bad so that no time is lost when the
weather breaks and the Local Law 10/11 Cycle is in full swing.
Check our Event’s Calendar on the right for upcoming scaffold classes in January.  More events are added weekly.
